Mr. Sterling Lyles, 86 of Walkersville, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County and attended school in Clarksburg, MD.\r\rSterling was employed by C. M. Hale Construction Company for many years and later became self-employed as a 'Home Improvement Professional.' He was Past Master of the James E. Stewart Lodge #49, the Worthy Patron of the Hope Chapter #52 Order of the Eastern Stars, Grand Inspector General 33rd Degree and Shriner at Jerusalem Temple #4.\r\rHe was the son of the late Clarence and Helen Lyles. He is survived by his wife Norma Lyles of Walkersville, MD, daughter; Denise Lockett of Frederick, MD, four brothers; Howard Lyles (Silver Spring, MD), Fred Lyles (Mt. Airy, MD), Rudolph Lyles (Gaithersburg, MD), Daniel Lyles (Hagerstown, MD), four sisters; Thelma Prather (Washington, DC), Christine Dorsey (Mt. Airy, MD), Laura Williams (Mt. Airy, MD), Shirley Moore (Frederick, MD), three grandchildren; Bishop Harold Williams, Jr. (Hagerstown, MD), D'Angela Walker and Dajah Lockett (Frederick, MD), three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.\r\rHe was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.\r\rRev.
