Alberta F. Willis, affectionately known as "Finnette," was born on October 11, 1957, in Baltimore City, Maryland, to the late James Albert West, Sr. and the late Edna Doretha West. \r\n\r\nAlberta was a lifelong resident of Baltimore City. She received her education from the Baltimore City Public School System. Her passion for helping people led her to becoming a physical therapist at the Union Memorial Hospital for fifteen years. After Finnette retired from Union Memorial Hospital she began working as a daycare provider for working parents, which she absolutely enjoyed. \r\nFinnette loved her family especially her sisters and brothers there was nothing that she would not do for her sisters and brothers. She cared for her siblings up until the day she left us in the physical form. Summertime was a special time for Finnette and Sonny; they would open their home up for large family cookouts and gatherings that were always well attended by friends and family. \r\n\r\nAlberta leaves to cherish her memory her: son, Josephus Willis,Jr. and wife, Wendy Willis; granddaughters, Ladymone Hobbs and Taylah Willis; great-grandchildren, Dru Johnson, Tony Russell Jr., and Chozyn Smith; brothers, Daniel West and Pierre West; sisters, Barbara West, Faith Pridget, Tina West, Melody West, and Hope Glover; stepmother, Marilyn West; best friend, Pearl Diggs; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. \r\n\r\nAlberta was preceded in death by her: spouse, Josephus Willis, Sr. ; sisters, Shirley Webb and Darcel Sanders; and brothers, James Albert West, Jr., Richard West, and Phillip West.
