Anthony B. Wedge

–

Frederick, Maryland

Anthony Bernard "Dalton" Wedge Sr., fondly known as Big D or Big Anthony, 46, departed this life on May 5, 2015, while surrounded by his family and friends. He was the husband to a loving and devoted wife, Andrea "Boba" Wedge, for 17 years. They were together for 32 years. Born August 20, 1968, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Beverly Francine Wedge and Donald "Duckie" Weedon (Ann).

Dalton graduated from Gov. Thomas Johnson High School in 1985. He had various jobs including landscaping and barber. However, his passion was being a barber. He was given his first barber chair from Thomas "Frosty" Hill, after attending Barber School. Dalton had a gift of doing things bigger and better. Even his smile was big. He loved dancing and hanging with family and friends, especially his grandbaby, Aniyah. He was a community giver of Sagners. If there was an event Big D would make sure everything was everything, from the smallest thing to the biggest. He had the gift to tell you exactly what he thought and if you didn't like it he was okay with that, because nobody could make him feel bad about telling the truth and that's just one of the many things that made him a good friend to so many. A few of his favorite sayings were, "good and crazy", "crazy people", and "shooooo". His big bright smile and laughter will be missed by many.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves to cherish his memories, 2 sons, Anthony Wedge Jr. and Alexander Wedge; granddaughter, Aniyah Wedge; brother, David Weedon; sister, Ashley Wedge; nephew, Shawn; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends; and his dog, Cage.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beatrice Wedge, Alice Weedon, and Ernest Weedon; mother-in-law, Frances Goines; father-in-law, Andrew Nichols; and uncle, Charles "Pop" Wedge.
