Brian Danell Cross, Sr. was born on December 17, 1979 at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, MD to the late Ernest James Cross, Jr. and Tammy Lynn Cross. Brian spent his childhood in Montgomery County, MD. He received most of his schooling from Montgomery County Public Schools and was part of the gifted and talented program. In middle school, Brian spent one summer in Montgomery College's Math and Science program for the gifted. Brian was a walking Encyclopedia. He knew facts and information on any topic of conversation. All the way from math, science and politics to history and sports. Anything you wanted to know, he knew. Brian attended high school at Colonel Zadok Magruder in Rockville, MD. He later decided to enroll at WoodStock Job Corps Center in Woodstock, MD where he earned his high school diploma. He furthered his education, took courses and achieved a certificate in Accounting.\r\n\r\nBrian loved football and was a huge Baltimore Ravens fan. Every time he was seen he was more than likely sporting some sort of Ravens football attire. Growing up, Brian loved to spend time at his grandparents' home in Laytonsville, MD. He enjoyed cooking out, sitting around the bonfire, riding bikes and go-carts with his Uncle Adam, playing sports, and playing practical jokes on his four younger siblings. Brian loved to spend time with his grandfather, Ruzie Waters. He loved to go on rides and have long conversations with him. Brian had a passion for music. He also enjoyed writing songs, playing the drums, producing music with his brothers Kimothy and Kenneth, and discussing the latest trending music with family and friends. Brian loved to spend time with his children. In addition, he loved family dinners and going to the beach and park.\r\n\r\nCherishing Brian's memories are his: beautiful children, Chatara Cross, Brian Cross, Jr. and Brandon Cross; mother, Tammy Cross; stepfather, Tod Clark; sisters, Tamara Cross, Tamreeka Brown (Carlos) and China Cross; brothers, Kenneth Cross and Kimothy Cross, Sr.; step sister, McKayla Clark; grandmother, Katherine Waters; uncles, Antonio Cross (Terri) and Adam Cross; aunts, Comerleta Cooks, Yolanda Davis, Angela Waters-Ison, and Katrina Waters; partner of 23 years, Chiquita Simms; nephews and nieces, DaVaughn Dixon, Rochelle Brown, Alasya Cross, Kimothy Cross, Jr., and K'Nylah Cross; and an abundant amount of cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his: father, Ernest James Cross, Jr.; grandfathers, Ernest James Cross, Sr. and Ruize Waters; grandmother, Rosalee Cross; uncle, Michael Cross; and cousin, Brandon Waters.
