Carroll Linwood (Jackie) King, 82, of Frederick, MD, was called home on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Born February 21, 1933, he was the son of the late Elijah King and Lula and Henry Madry.\n\nHe was previously self-employed as a carpet installer for many years. He trained and paved the way for many carpet installers in the community today. He was also an army veteran (1950 - 1954) who served in the Korean War.\n\nHe leaves to cherish his memory, wife Teri King; children Karen Hammond, Wayne King and Shari Goines (Charles); stepchildren Dyane Prather-Hill and Bettyjean Naylor, all of Frederick, MD; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; Aunt Roxie Weedon of York, PA; and a host of cousins and friends.\n\nHe was preceded in death by two children, Zachary King and Lori King; stepson Preston Patterson; grandparents Roy and Virginia Ambush; son-in-law Preston Hammond; four uncles; and one aunt.\n\nMemorial services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home located at 110 W. South St., Frederick, MD, at 11 a.m. Pastor Roy Ambush and Pastor Ernest Ambush will be officiating.\n\nNorthampton Manor Health Care Center memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 3pm. Pastor Ronald Simmons will be officiating.
