Catherine Davis

Catherine "Kay" L. Davis transitioned to her heavenly home on January 17, 2024. Kay was born on May 19, 1931 in Brooksville, Frederick, MD to the late Raymond Ellis Scott and Carrie Evelyn Jackson Scott; and was the wife of the late Reginald B. Davis, Sr.

Kay was a believer in God; and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a homemaker and childcare giver to many. Kay began her work career part-time at Woolco Department Store and was later employed and retired from State Farm Insurance. Upon her retirement Kay volunteered at Frederick Memorial Hospital in the flowers and cards department. Kay was a devoted member of Asbury United Methodist Church and participated on the Usher Board, Communion Steward Board, and Vacation Bible School.

Kay leaves to cherish her memory her: children, Sandra Robinson, Fayette Page (Earl), Stephanie Ambush (Thomas), Regina Davis Constant, and Reginald B. Davis Jr (Alisha); bonus daughter, Gwen Robinson (Al); 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sister-in-laws, Jane Reeves and Bernice Stevens; and brother-in-law, George E. Davis (Lozannie); and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. She will also be remembered by: Keith Robinson, Dee Austin, Diana Lopez, Ula Scott, June Hardy, Lori Weedon, and Bert, Trevia and Rhaine Williams.

Kay was the last member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her: brothers, Raymond Scott and Charles Scott; and sisters, Elsie Weedon and Patricia Bowins.

The family would also like to acknowledge Kay's extended family at Life in the Country.
