Cladcile R. Williams-Cherry

–

Frederick, Maryland

Cladcile Renita Williams-Cherry, age 61, went home to the Lord on January 14, 2022, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. On June 29, 1960, in Pensacola, Florida Cladcile was born to Ann Hawthorne and Judge Byrd. Cladcile grew up in the streets of Harlem and moved to the Bronx where she has met a host of friends. She was always so outgoing, caring, loving, and kind. Cladcile enjoyed spending time with her family and friends but most of all enjoyed her summer vacations with her brother Brian.

Cladcile fell in love in the early 80's where she married her late husband, Frank Williams. Cladcile met her husband, Glenn Cherry, in May 2005 and married on January 15, 2015, while working at Times Square Alliance where she has been employed for over 20 years. Cladcile always had a passion for her work, no matter the situation. She is what we call a workaholic, but they all know her as C.W.

In February of 2021, Cladcile was offered a package for early retirement in which she took to move with her daughter Miriam in Frederick Maryland. Unfortunately, her time was cut short, but she enjoyed the time while she was there. Cladcile has truly touched the lives of many. Whether you have known her for days, months, or years she always gave everyone the same amount of energy.

Cladcile was the mother of Tyrone, Victoria, Keith, Cladcile, Frederick, Miriam, and stepson Frank. She raised her children with such devotion in New York City. All while raising her children, she was able to do the same for some of her nieces and nephews. Cladcile is survived by her: six children, Tyrone, Vicky, Keith, Cladcile, Frederick, and Miriam; three step-children, Frank, Emmanuel, and Charise; twenty-three grandchildren; Ashley, Dakim, Devine, Quintaisha, Devante, Dashawn, KJ, Faith, Courtney, Moses, Laya, Sanaii, Jataiah, Trinity, Kameron, Kenzyrah, Ryan, Sanaiyah, Zendaya, Keesean, Kayla, Chloe, and Elijah; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Chance and Zayana; two sisters, Jeannie and Janet; three brothers, Judge, Michael, and Brian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cladcile is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ann.

As we celebrate Cladcile's life, I ask that you all remember her in the good times, remember the laughs, the jokes, sitting at the card table, or even having a drink. Just remember she would want us to enjoy life as she always did.
