David Matthew Lee passed away from a brief illness on August 9, 2022, at Frederick Health Hospital. Born July 17, 1969 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Margaret Lee and the late James Matthew Lee. He resided in Hyattsville, MD until recently when he moved to Frederick, MD. \r\n\r\nDavid attended Prince George's County Public School system and graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro, MD in 1987. David was most recently employed by Amazon in Rockville, MD. \r\n\r\nFrom an early age, he loved to draw, enjoyed anime, science fiction movies and was fascinated by the art of karate. During football season he never missed a chance to cheer on his team the Washington Commanders. Among his family and friends, David was always known for his upbeat personality and comical ways. He will truly be missed, but his spirit and memories of him will continue to live on in his many loved ones and friends. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his two sons, Tyler Lee, 30, of North Las Vegas, Nevada and Torrey Lee, 28, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; mother, Margaret Lee, of Frederick, MD; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. \r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Fern Brown and Lucille Lee; and grandfathers, George Brown and William T. Lee. \r\n\r\nThe family thanks the doctors and nurses at Frederick Health Hospital for the compassionate care he received.
