Derrick D. Long

Derrick D. Long, 54, of Frederick, MD, passed suddenly on September 21, 2019 at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD. He was born in Frederick, MD, on August 1, 1965 to Loretta F. Long and the late James E. Long, Jr. Derrick graduated from Frederick High School where he was on the wrestling team and a straight A student. He loved to make others laugh.

He leaves to cherish his memory his: mother; two daughters, Kianna Long of Hagerstown, MD and Geneva Shry of Frederick, MD; son, Keandre Long of Hagerstown, MD; two aunts, Frances Mitchell of Frederick, MD and Elizabeth Long of Virginia; uncle, Richard Long of Colorado; three sisters, Denise Henson of Virginia, Corrine Long and Deborah Long both of Frederick, MD; two brothers, Steven Long and Willie Johnson both of Frederick, MD; two special cousins, Karen Naylor and Jeffrey Thompson both of Frederick, MD; two special friends, Timmy and Cassie (Lolli) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
