Gail Theodore-Lovell

Gail Donna Theodore-Lovell, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023. Born on September 10th, 1954, in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Gail was the daughter of the late Felix Theodore and Aurora Simon Theodore.

Gail attended Sacred Heart Girls RC in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Holy Name Convent Girls High School in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and Minerva College on Henry Street in Port of Spain, Trinidad. After her formal education, she was employed at the Department of Labor in Trinidad.

Gail moved to the United States in 1978 and married Arthur Lovell in August 1982. She graduated from Howard University in 1983 with a degree in Spanish. In her youth, she enjoyed playing netball and tennis, and later in life, she learned to play the steel pan. In the U.S., she was employed at AT&T, from which she retired.

Gail loved the Lord and was a member of Christ Our Redeemer AME Church. She was also an active member of The Red Hatters. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Kwame Lovell (Amanda) and Akilah Lovell (Sherman), and her grandson, Gavin Lovell. She is also survived by her brothers, Felix (Pat), Francis (Rhonda), Keith (Debbie), Roger (Renee), and Lancelot (Kathy), as well as her sisters, Patsy, Sandra (Fenton), and Sharon (David). Additionally, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Patricia Lovell and Jennifer Johnson, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lovell, her parents, Felix and Aurora Theodore, and her brother, Hayden Theodore.
