Mr. Jerry Lee Cosley, age 52, was called suddenly into the presence of Jesus on Friday, September 13, 2013. Jerry was born on April 28, 1961, to the late Madeline Holland Cosley and George Harris.\r\rMr. Cosley attended Frederick County Public Schools and graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1979.Jerry was quite an athlete and played on the basketball team while at T.J. After graduation Jerry joined the United States Army where he served four years. Upon his return home, he embarked on the vocation that became his life long career - that of a top notch printer. Jerry worked at Custom Printing as a Pressman and The Frederick News Post. He was often called upon for special printing jobs that called for his own special expertise in that area. Jerry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with Barry Bowie, Donovan Cosley and his son Jerrell Cosley. He found enjoyment and solace while spending time on the riverbank.\rJerry had a special way of making people feel joyful while in his presence. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to members of his family and his friends. He was a person who loved to give to others. He gave his life to Jesus Christ while attending Quinn A.M.E. Church. He enjoyed biblical discussions with his siblings, especially his sister Melinda and brother Larry and also with his children.\r\rMr. Cosley is survived by: three children, Chantel Makel-Brown (husband Jerrod), Juanita Brooks, and Jerrell Cosley, all of Frederick; one grandchild, Channing Brown, of Frederick; four brothers, Larry Cosley (wife Peggy) and Ray Cosley (wife Regina) of Frederick, Donnell Cosley (wife Robin) of Hagerstown, and Rayford Harris of North Carolina; six sisters, Bernice Cosley of Frederick, Gloria Harris (husband David) of Ohio, Barbara Downs (husband Richard), Joyce Smith(husband Drew), and Rose Boyd of Frederick, and Melinda (husband Larry) of Edgewood, MD; one aunt, Mildred Holland of Adamstown; one uncle, Fonie 'Sundown' Harris; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Stephanie Brooks-Manardi, Ollie Green, Alphie Addison, Myron Smith, and Kimberly Makel-Robinson. \r\rMr. Cosley was preceded in death by one brother, Charles R. 'Sonny' Cosley and two sisters, Betty Cosley Duncan-Washington and Theresa Freeland.
