Kewannie Darrel Mbaye Obituary (1994 - 2018)

Kewannie Darrel Mbaye, 24, peacefully passed away on Sunday October 7, 2018 in Frederick, Maryland. Kewannie was born September 13, 1994 in Frederick, Maryland; he attended Montgomery County Public Schools and was a graduate of Magruder High School. He attended Frederick Community College and worked as a geriatric aide. Kewannie was loving, caring, and most definitely funny. He made sure people around him stayed smiling because he was a caring individual with a huge heart. Kewannie and that heart of his will always live on, and we all must keep that in mind as we go through this trying time. Kewannie was destine for great things in life on this earth but earned his wings and has moved on to do his due diligence acknowledged by a higher power in a better place. His free spirit was loved by all and will always be remembered. Kewannie is survived by: his parents, Mansour Mbaye and Charlotte Mbaye, and longtime guardian, John Johnson, five sisters, Tiea Sandridge, Sheena Carter, Ariel Carter, Anna Mbaye-Sarr, Brassia Mbaye; four brothers, Ryan Carter, Quinton Carter, Corey Mbaye, Mansour Mbaye; two aunts, Cynthia Thompson and Mary Thompson; two uncles, Michael Thompson and John Thompson; stepmother, Salla Mbaye; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kewannie is preceded in death by: grandparents; Charles Thompson and Gloria Carter; uncle, Charlie "Charlie Mack" Thompson; aunt, Jeanette Jackson; cousin; DeAndre "Zella Ziona" Smith; and longtime guardian, Elizabeth Johnson. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 West South Street, Frederick, MD 21701 at 11:00 AM. Family will receive friends at 10:00 AM.
