Lanell "Jackie" T. Goe

Our beloved Lanell Tyrone Goe, aka "Jackie Hill", 72, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 3, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born May 14, 1945 in Frederick, MD, to the late Della Daisy Hill-Jackson and George Moore. He was adopted and raised by the late Lemoyne and Norine Goe.

Jackie attended Lincoln School and graduated from Frederick High School in 1963. He served in the Army from 1963-1966. He was then employed by RCA/GE for many years until his retirement in 1988. Jackie's training while in the Army was what helped him become accomplished at working with electronics and was often repairing TVs for his many friends and family. He was a quick-witted man who loved yelling to and joking with others outside of his window. He was also a dedicated member of the Mountain City Lodge # 382, a place he loved to frequent and spend hours cuttin' up!

Jackie was a loving and devoted father who now leaves to cherish his memory 3 children, Glenn Graham (Star), Kimberly Martin, and Jenita Gorham (Damascus); 10 grandchildren, Qiyama Graham, Quaeesha Graham, Glenn Bryson Graham, Quinn Graham, Grant Graham, Marcel Martin, Cameron Martin, Camille Martin, Andrew Rollins, and Jayden Johnson; 1 sister, Rita Gassaway; a special nephew, Clarence Lyles; dedicated friend, Patty Jones; and a host of family and friends. The family would like to sincerely thank Karen Carroll for her devotion to his care and all around well-being over the past 2 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Moore.
