Lloyd David Diggs Sr., 90, of Frederick, MD, went home to glory on January 19, 2015. He was born on November 6, 1924, to the late Grafton Diggs and Catherine Brown Diggs. He was the husband of Willie Mae Diggs. \n\nDavid served in the United States Navy during World War II and was stationed in Pearl Harbor. He was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal. He retired from the City of Stanford, CT and the City of Frederick, MD as an environmental worker. He also worked for the Urban League & Development in Stanford, CT. He enjoyed painting, entertaining and meeting people.\n\nIn addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory 3 daughters, Pamela Diggs, Ann Diggs, and Terisa Diggs Rhodes; son, Warren Diggs; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. He was predeceased by his son, Lloyd David Diggs Jr.\n\nServices will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick, MD. Public viewing will start at 9 a.m., family will receive friends at 10 a.m. and the funeral will begin at 11 a.m.
