Louise Catherine Gaither was born on July 31, 1945 to the late Violet and Z.B. Harden in Georgia. She departed this life on November 17, 2020 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD.\r\n\r\nLouise graduated high school in Georgia and later completed the Business Administration program at PTC Career Institute. After moving to Washington, DC she married Reuben C. Gaither. They were married until his passing in 1985. Louise was a stay at home mom and caretaker for her mother and brother until their passing. Louise was a member of Springfield Baptist Church for over 40 years. She attended Sunday School, Baptist Training Union, prayer meeting and was a member of several choirs. Louise moved to Frederick, MD and attended Pleasant View United Methodist Church (PVUMC). While at PVUMC she sang on the choir, danced with the liturgical dance group, and recited poems on special programs. She later joined First Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC) where she attended Sunday School and sang in the choir. She also participated in Easter and Christmas programs reciting poems. Louise loved the Lord and attending church. She liked to laugh and have fun. She always had a joke or riddle for you to hear. She enjoyed singing, fishing, and talking to her friends on the telephone.\r\n\r\nLouise leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Veronica Majett (James); 3 grandchildren, Jamiel Majett, JaVon Majett, and VerShonn Majett; 2 great-grandchildren, Zay'Onna Majett-Young and VerSiah Majett-Young; Best friends, Sharon Lane, Pauline Carter and Minister Lenora Stringfellow; Her extended family and bonus grandchildren,The Majetts and The Lawsons; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
