Mr. Mathew Evans, Jr., 69, of Frederick, MD departed his life on Sat., Oct. 13, 2012, at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, in Washington, D.C.He was born on Oct. 29, 1942, in Muskegon, MI to the late Matthew Evans, Sr. and Imogen Hayes. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Vanessa; two daughters, Erika Johnson (Carey) of Crockett, CA and Brittany Evans of Frederick, MD; two sons, Dwayne Evans of Vallejo, CA and Eric Evans of Frederick, MD; one sister, Karna Carter of Dudley; one brother, Leonard Garrison of Grand Rapids, MI;two grandchildren;mother and father-in law, Elizabeth and Ervin Roberts of Warrenton, NC; three brother-in-laws; a host of nieces and nephews; and one special Marine Corps buddy, Cedric Cofield of Beaufort, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Evans of Muskegon, MI. Funeral services will be held on Sun., Oct. 21, 2012, at the Gary L Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick, MD 21701.Interment will be at the Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA on Mon., Oct. 22, 2012, at noon.
