Melanie Tamara Streams (aka Melly Melz) was born on May 4, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York to Julio and Emily Dixon. She was a fun loving and caring child. In Melanie's early life, she loved ballet and tap dance as she featured in recitals and programs. The family moved to Maryland where she played softball, was a cheerleader and participated in ROTC. Her spiritual home was Victory Christian Church International where she served the Lord in the dance ministry. \r\n\r\nMelanie graduated from Magruder High school and attended college at Strayer University. She then worked as an office manager, performing quality control and document analysis, and was a compliance specialist for various companies. Melanie, an avid Giants fan, enjoyed playing cards (spades), travelling and partying. Her philosophy was "work hard, play harder."\r\n\r\nMelanie's passing was unexpected. The Lord called her home on May 13, 2021 in Baltimore, MD. Melanie left to carry on her memory, her: father and mother Julio and Emily Dixon; brothers, Darrell and Tony Dixon; aunts, Lauretta Dixon and Gloria Adonican; a great number of nieces and nephews; and an abundance of family, friends and colleagues. She was predeceased by her older brother, Carl Dixon.
