Minta G. Floyd Obituary (1964

Minta Gwendolyn Floyd, affectionately called Boo, departed this life on April 11, 2015. She was born on October 16, 1964, in Lawton, OK to Dorothy June and William Floyd Sr. Boo was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Boo recently became the first person to complete a new Drug Counseling program for Counselors in Frederick, MD. Boo grew up in a large family where there was never a dull moment. She was a very strong and outgoing woman. She was always up for a challenge and ready to be brave whenever problems came her way. Boo smiled and laughed her way through it all. Her smile and laugh were infectious and could light up a room or event. As soon as she arrived you would be smiling and laughing with her or at her. At a tender young age, she gave birth to her son Roger. As her relationship blossomed with her soulmate, Anthony Williams of 27 plus years, they became the proud parents of Anthony "Dude" William Jr. Anthony has been there with Boo through thick and thin and was with her when she was called by the Lord to come home. To cherish her wonderful memory she leaves her devoted, soul mate, Anthony Williams; two children, Roger and Anthony; eight grandchildren, Alyiah, Tinayia, Ranqell, Romello, Ranniya, Antoine, Jaleia, Anashia, Jayla, and Joseph; loving mother, Dorothy June Johnson; father, William Floyd Sr.; two brothers, Raymond and Myron; three sisters, Letitia, Yevonne and Valerie; two sisters-in-law, Priscilla and Tanya; two brothers-in-laws, Roger Bagley, and Michael; four aunts; three uncles; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and a lot of friends. She and was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne and William Jr.; and sister, Dorothea Bagley. Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 101 W. All Saints St., Frederick. Public viewing will be at 9 a.m., family will receives friends at 10 a.m., and the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Interment is private.
