Monica Nicole Bowens,22, of Frederick, MD, departed this life on December 13, 2015. She was born on December 9, 1993, at Frederick Memorial Hospital to proud parents Kimberly P. Summers and William Bowens.

Monica attended Thomas Johnson High School. She was an employee of B.P. Solar and Wendy's in Frederick, MD. Monica was full of life. She loved spending time with friends and family, dancing, and singing. She made everyone she was around feel comfortable, and she was always full of laughs. She was beautiful inside and out. She loved fashion, especially hair.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Kimberly P. Summers (Jeremy Walker), Baltimore, MD; father, William Bowens, Frederick, MD; godparents, Renee and Derrick Bungy, Brunswick, MD; grandmother, LuLu Bowens, Frederick, MD; stepfather, Curtis Summers, Hagerstown, MD; brothers, Curtis L. Summers, Cordell L. Summers, and Chris L. Summers, all of Hagerstown, MD; sister, Jasmine Summers, Frederick, MD; best friend, Amber Mucalhey, Frederick, MD; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Brenda Summers and Doris Baugher.
