Oliver Herschel Brown Obituary (1928

Oliver Herschel Brown, Jr., 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, September 17, 2018. Oliver was born October 4, 1928 in Frederick, MD to the late Oliver Hershel Brown, Sr. and Beatrice Cann. He was a long time resident of Washington, DC for over 50 years. He worked for Metro Transit for over 20 years. Oliver was known for his quiet and gentle spirit. A true man of "Old School" tradition, he loved children, dancing and worshiping the Lord. Oliver is survived by: his sister, Lucille D. Posey; and a host of family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Oliver was preceded in death by: his wife, Dorothy McCallum Brown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Strong Tower Christian Church or Hospice of Frederick County. Services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Strong Tower Christian Church, 467 W. Patrick St., Frederick. Viewing at 10:00 AM and funeral service at 11:00 AM.
