Peggy Thomas

–

Hagerstown, Maryland

April 26, 1954, at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, the late Sylvester, and Betty Brown were blessed with the gift of a precious daughter, Peggy Sue. Peggy, affectionately known as "Tubby" was raised alongside her five siblings and was influenced by her parents to be a loving and caring person.

Peggy was the widow of the late Herman John Thomas. Together, she and Herman raised four children. In keeping with the traditions and family values they were raised with, together they instilled in their children the same values and were proud of all their children's accomplishments and successes.

Prior to retirement, Peggy worked for Montgomery County Public Schools as a Bus Driver and after receiving her certification, worked at Collinwood Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Following her retirement, Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking (especially for the family cookouts), dancing, and dressing up no matter the occasion. She also enjoyed spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Peggy, favorite song was "Guess what?", often marched to the beat of her own drum. She was a joy to all and was tremendously loved. This tremendous love was a key factor during Peggy's three-year battle with cancer. She fought hard, remained positive, and lived each day to its fullest. She will be greatly missed but the memory of her life and love will forever be cherished.

Peggy arrived at her final resting place for eternal life on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, surrounded by and covered with the love of her family.
