Phyllis Jean Price

Phyllis Jean Holsey Price, 65, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, following a lengthy illness at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. She was born Nov. 22, 1950, in Rockville, MD to the late Betty Jane Brown and Walter Jean Holsey.

Phyllis lived in Cumberland until she returned home to Frederick. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, watching old westerns movies, going to cookouts, spending time with her family and fellowshipping at Metropolitan AME Church, Cumberland, MD.

She is survived by her daughter, Melody "Dimples" Naylor (Barry), Frederick; grandchildren, Marquita Gales (Troy), Rock Hill, SC, and Natasha Randolph and LaQuan Randolph, both of Frederick; great-grandchildren, NyKailyn, NyKiaya, Janyia, Omari and Baby Kennedy, all of Rock Hill, SC, and Kayden, Kaleb and Aaryn, all of Frederick; brothers, Roger Brown, Jr. (Jeannie), Gordon Brown (Nora), and Kenneth Brown (Dawn), all of Frederick, and Merhl Brown (Patricia), Rock Hill, SC; sisters, Victoria Holsey and devoted sister Marjorie "Nettie" Brown, both of Frederick, and Sabrina Brown, Rock Hill, SC; devoted aunt, Delores "Jackie" Williams, Frederick; father, Roger O'Neil Brown, Sr., Frederick; and a wonderful host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Price; and brother, Phillip Holsey.

Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South Street, Frederick, MD, with a public viewing at 9:00 a.m., family hour at 10 a.m. and the funeral at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Pastor Rex R. Bowens, Sr. will officiate.
