Ramona Louise Bailey, affectionally known as "Mona", transitioned from this life on August 9, 2022, after years of medical challenges. Born June 13, 1961, in the Bronx, New York, to the late Isaac Jones and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Rillie-Bailey. She moved from Bronx, New York to Frederick, Maryland in 1997 and was the wife of Ronald Brown for 15 years. \r\n\r\nRamona graduated from Grace Dodge High School and later attended Hunter College/ University of New York for nursing. She was employed for 15 years with The New York Foundling Hospital, NY, and 8 years with ARC of Frederick County. Ramona received an appreciation award for her excellence and dedication to her job. \r\n\r\nRamona was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She was a caregiver by nature. She worked as a counselor and cared for many children and adults. She demonstrated many times her love, caring and sacrifices for her family. She gave them a place to stay, cooked for them and gave great advice. Even with all of her health challenges she kept a positive spirit and very rarely complained. Ramona loved the Lord and especially enjoyed cooking for others, puzzles, word games and watching scary movies. \r\n\r\nShe leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Elizabeth J. Cata; brother, Kevin Doyal; aunts, Mary Miriam Rillie and Rosebud Rillie; nieces, Dyneara, Tranay, Maya, Quaylin, Quintaisia, and Chanel; nephews, Kevin, Arland, Ivan, and Jahquez; and a host of family and friends.\r\n\r\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Ralph Bailey and James Bailey.
