Richard Demoan Hall, Jr., 39, affectionately known as "Rick" or "Lil Rick" transitioned to his heavenly home on Monday, November 20, 2023. He was born on Sunday, July 8, 1984, to Jennifer D. Hall-Jefferson and Richard D. Hall, Sr., in Frederick, MD.
Rick graduated from Frederick High School in 2002. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Marines Corps and was assigned to basic training in Parris Island, South Carolina. His Marine career concluded with an honorable discharge. Rick was skilled in carpet installation, a trade his father taught him. He worked with his father throughout the years. Rick also held several other positions in landscaping and construction.
As a child, Rick was a triple threat and excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. Skilled in martial arts, he won his first tournament around 8 years old. The trophy was as big as him! In addition, he sang in the youth choir and served on the usher board at Quinn AME Church in Frederick, MD. Rick knew the Lord and his favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Known for his smile and charisma, Rick was loved by many. He was always eager to help anyone in need. His quick wit and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Rick was a free spirit, always happy, and known for being authentic. He was also a loyal Redskins/Commanders fan, and his support never wavered.
Rick’s love for raising and training dogs was his passion, especially the breeds Cane Corso and Pit Bulls. Known as the dog whisperer, his dogs were obedient and loyal to him. He treated his dogs like family. Rick always had a pet whether it was Marcus Allen, the fastest turtle, or his Cane Corso - King Draco, Sativa, Sahara, and Storm.
A devoted father to his son, Kaiden, he cherished every moment of their relationship. Kaiden was the love of his life and his pride and joy. Rick had a beautiful and loving relationship with his mother, father, sister, niece, and nephew. He enjoyed visiting and spending time with his family.
