Rolando Rodas Obituary (1960

Rolando Rodas, age 59, peacefully departed our world and entered The Lord's Kingdom on Thursday, July 11. He was born on June 28, 1960, in a small town in Honduras. He is the 4th child of 8 children of Sra. Maria Eugenia Funes and Sr. Miguel Rodas. While studying at the Fuerza Aerea school in Honduras, Rolando met his true love, Mrs. Mariflor Rodas nee Villanueva. They had their first son, Allan, in Tegucigalpa before migrating to the United States to begin a new life. In the United States, Rolando & Mariflor had two more sons; Kenneth in 1995 and Ronnan in 1998, and later two granddaughters, Melisa in 2003 and Jocelynn in 2006. Rolando raised his family in Clarksburg, MD, working as a building maintenance technician for Montgomery County. Rolando was an exceptional father and mentor to his children and other family members and leaves behind only fond and heart-warming memories. Rolando will be remembered as a compassionate, thoughtful, joyous Father, Grandfather, Husband, Son, Godfather, Brother, Friend, and role model. Services will be in the mausoleum.
