Sarah Eliza Blagmond

Mrs. Sarah Eliza Blagmond, age 95, died on Monday, August 19, 2013.She was born July 9, 1918, in Damascus, MD to the late William Ellsworth and Bertha Lyles Zeigler. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.She attended public school in Montgomery County, MD and was a Cosmetologist at Madeline's Beauty School in Baltimore, MD.She also attended college in Baltimore, MD and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Surviving are: daughter, god daughter and niece, Theresa Dixon (David) of Frederick, MD; three grandchildren, Lakeisha Frye (James) of KY, Terrance Welcher and Tristan Dixon of New York; three great grandchildren, Jordan, Jamal and Amari; sister, Inez McAbee and brother, Harvey Zeigler, both of Damascus, MD; and a host of nieces ,nephews, cousins and friends.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her: husband, Edward Blagmond, seven sisters, Eleanor, Gladys, Nettie Gray, Dorothy Frazier, Rona Randall, Mavis Prather, and Geraldine Myers; and three brothers, Edwin Zeigler, Junior Zeigler and Wormack Zeigler. Services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Damascus United Methodist Church, 9700 New Church St., Damascus, MD 20812. The viewing will begin at 9 a.m., the family will receive friends at 10 a.m., and services will begin at 11 a.m.Rev.
