Sheila Virginia Smith

Sheila Virginia Smith of Hagerstown, MD passed away October 8, 2018. Born in Frederick, MD on September 8, 1964, she was the daughter of Clayman E. Smith, Sr. and the late Ida I. Smith.

Sheila was raised in Frederick, MD and moved to Hagerstown as an adult. Sheila was a loving mother and greatly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She worked as a dietitian prior to retiring and one of her favorite pastimes was swimming. She was fondly referred to as a "fish out of water."

Sheila is survived by: her daughter, Tiffany Neal; son, Reginald Neal, Jr., both of Hagerstown, MD; three grandchildren, Meloina, Serenity and Giovanni, all of Hagerstown, MD; brother, Clayman E. Smith, Jr. (Tammy) of Frederick, MD; three sisters, Calleen Carter (Gregory), Joan Spencer (Jackie) and Veronica Rollins, all of Frederick, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 at Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD 21703 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow services at Fairview Cemetery, Old Gas House Pike, Frederick, MD. Elder Minnie Thames will officiate.
