Stonewall Jackson Motley Obituary (1921 - 2018)

Ssgt Stonewall Jackson Motley, 96, of Frederick, MD went on to be with the Lord on January 16, 2018. He was born March 19, 1921, in Blair's, VA, to the late George H. and Celestia Motley. Stonewell is survived by: daughters, Sarah Coleman of Frederick, MD, Katherine Outlaw of Washington, DC, Christy Motley, of Danville, VA; sons, Vincent and Earl Motley of GA, Angelo Motley of Laurel, MD, Paul Motley of Winston-Salem, NC, Eric Motley of Danville, VA; stepsons, John and Jamie Davis of Danville, VA and Jacquesauche Sphyn of MD; brother, Carl Thomas-Motley; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Stonewall was preceded in death by: daughter, Jacqueline Motley Averett; sons, Ralph and Christopher Motley; brothers, Edward, John and Ralph Motley, all of Danville, VA; and sisters, Ophelia Motley, Mable Taylor and Sarah Thomas. The family extends special recognition to Junior's Fire Company, Home Instead, Citizen's Rehab, granddaughter Kiiursha Motley and all his caregivers and medical staff and Facebook family that helped to care and pray for Stonewall along the way. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick, MD 21701 with Viewing at 9:30 am, Family Hour at 10 and Services at 11.
