Mr. Thomas (Tommy) Eugene Naylor Sr., the beloved husband of Helen Louise Naylor, was peaceably called home on Mon., Dec. 1, 2014, at College View Nursing Home in Frederick, MD, after a lengthy illness. He was born on Dec. 22, 1937, to the late Thomas Edward Naylor and Nettie Pauline Overs Naylor. \n\nHe was educated in the Frederick County Public School system. He retired from Custom Printing Company after many years of service. He was a diehard Oriole fan. \n\nIn addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory 3 children, Pastor Rex Bowens Sr. (Clara), Betty Bowens (Ricky), and Thomas Naylor Jr. (Misty); 4 children he raised as his own, Shirlene (Lou Lou), Donnie, William, and Corray; brother, James (Jimmy) Naylor; 4 brothers in law, Samuel Herbert, Melvin Boyce, John Boyce, and Herman Bowens; devoted, special, caregiver granddaughter, Michelle Bowens; devoted cousin, Bobby Naylor; devoted friend, James (Sonny Boy) Boyce; special nephew, Idriess Bowens; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sandra Palmer and Margaret Herbert; and brother, David Naylor.\n\nServices will be held on Mon., Dec. 8, 2014, at Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD. Public viewing is at 9 a.m., family will receive friends at 10 a.m. and the funeral will begin at 11 a.m.
