William Edward "Buck" Bowie

Mr. William E. "Buck" Bowie went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018. Born January 8, 1939 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas Ellsworth Bowie and Mabel Bowie of Frederick.

Buck worked at Weis Market in Frederick and retired due to illness. Buck was a friendly person and was always willing to help others.

Buck leaves to cherish his memories: his sisters, Doris Ambush (Rev. Robert Ambush) of Flint Hill, MD, Betty Hall of Baltimore, MD, and Alanda Diggs, of Hagerstown, MD; brothers, Ellsworth Bowie (Dorothea) and Sterling Davis, all of Frederick; extended sisters and brothers, Marie Naylor (Robert), Aritha Smith, Jacqueline Thomas, Sandra Palmer (Cort), John Thomas, and Terry Bowie (Toni); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Buck is preceded in death by: a sister, Peggy Bowie; stepmother, Grace Bowie; brother in-law, Matthew Hall; and nephew, Leon Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 West South Street, Frederick, MD 21701 at 11:00 AM, with public viewing to begin at 9:30 AM.
