William Tyrone Byrd, 61, of Frederick, MD, went on to rest peacefully with the Lord on Tues., April 12, 2016, after battling cancer for three years. He was born January 16, 1955, to the late Carolyn "Ms. Red's" Byrd and Johnny Riggs. \n\nWilliam was a graduate of Frederick High School. He worked as a construction worker, brick layer, and was a mechanic at Skip's Auto Garage. He was an avid Pittsburg Steeler's fan and loved being with his children, grandchildren, and friends. William always was the life of the party. He always had a smile on his face even during his sickness. \n\nHe leaves to mourn three beautiful daughters, Dawn Byrd, Tylese Byrd -Snowden (George Snowden, Sr.), and Brittany Byrd; three lovely granddaughters, Damyra Crummitt, Kyaira Snowden, and Ania Lewis; devoted former wife, Connie Byrd-Bruchey; devoted friend, Teresa Crummitt-Gray; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Byrd, Sr. and Preston Byrd. \n\nThe family wishes to thank the gentlemen at Skip's Auto Garage; Gena and Jeff; Weddle, Donnie, and Gary; and the staff at Meritus Medical Center for everything they have done. \n\nIn lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any monetary contributions to help with the funeral cost.
