William Lester Pryor

Mr. William Lester Pryor passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at North Hampton Care Center. He was born on April 16, 1929 in New London, MD, to the late Charles Pryor and Cordelia Fossett Pryor.

Mr. Pryor attended public school and joined the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was married to Ruby Snowden and Elise Lyles Pryor; both are now deceased. His special friend is Catherine Biggus. He worked in construction in Virginia for 30 years and retired in 1977.

He leaves to cherish his memory his: daughter, Joann Diggs Johnson of Temple Hills, MD, four grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; 7 stepchildren, Patricia Vernon, Nancy Onley (John), Cecilia Demar, Shirley Kennard, Dorothy Scott, Gary William Demar (Gail), and Harrison Demar; three sisters-in-law, Roberta Johnson, Bernice Pryor and Gloria Lyles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by: three sisters, Madeline Pryor, Dorothy Thompson and Mildred Foreman; and three brothers, James Pryor, Walter Pryor and Charles Pryor.
