Williemae Diggs Obituary (1929

Williemae Diggs, 88, passed away peacefully and went to be with our Heavenly Father on Jan. 28, 2018 at Cassena Care Nursing Home, Stamford, CT. She was a residence of Stamford and New Canaan, CT for many years. She was born on May 16, 1929 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Henrietta and William Wood. She was the beloved wife of the late David Lloyd Diggs, Sr., who she married on Aug. 21, 1953. He was the love of her life and together they had 5 children. Williemae had a keen memory which enable her to recall intricate details about people, places and events throughout her life. It amazed everyone. Her presence was known and will be missed by the community. Williemae will be remembered by: her children, Pamela Diggs, Ann Diggs, and Warren Diggs, all of CT and Treisa Diggs Rhodes of NC; siblings, Marietta Wood, of Baltimore, MD, Sally Hoffman, of TN; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wlliemae was preceded in death by: a son, Lloyd David Diggs, Jr. and a sister, Elizabeth Henry.
